FAAB Week Update

First is that their are no premier league games this week, so there won't be any matchups and no need to set lineups. However, FAAB bidding is still in effect and due by Friday at 5 PM EST. I am hoping to post the results for the bidding right at 5:10ish because I'm leaving for the weekend at 6pm.

Secondly, since today was transfer day, lots of crazy action has gone on in the Premier League. I plan on updating the New Player list tomorrow once we hear all the names that have come in and left. We know of a few exciting ones, but i'm going to wait until things settle down before adding and removing players. However, feel free to keep submitting bids right now(except don't bid on Robinho and if anyone has already, I won't count that bid).

Last thing. I need to figure out how much FAAB to award players who were drafted and left the league. Anyone have any good ideas on how to do this?

Here is the list of guys I have so far with their Fantasy dollar values that have left the league and were drafted. Let me know if i'm missing someone that was drafted:

S Caig Bellamy                  Man City     £8m    Davis
M Alberto Aquilani            Liverpool     £7m    Nitzberg
M Javier Mascherano         Liverpool    £6m    Singer
S Alessandro Diamanti       West Ham   £6m    Singer
D Emiliano Insua                Liverpool    £5m     Costa

My plan is just to give 12 FAAB for Bellamy, 10 for Aquilani, 8 for Mascherano, 8 for Diamanti and 6 for Insua. So basically it is start at 6 FAAB for a £5m player lost and add 2 FAAB for every £1m more of value. So if anyone lost a £9m they would get 14 FAAB. Using a total of 50 FAAB, 12 Faab is a 24% budget increase.

Does that seem fair? Thoughts?

Fina: Week 3 Wraps Up

A great finish to week three with four matches on Sunday. No one finished with less than 10 points this week, so well done folks. Here are the final results from this week:

Week 3 Results

Nitzberg and Singer held on for close wins while Regan came away with this week's high score with a combined 14 points from Zamora and Rooney, not to mention Andrew Carroll's five points that were on the bench.

After three weeks we have two teams with a tie for first: Fountain and Carr both are 3-0 and Fountain leads the league with 123 points accumulated. Davis and Lyon are 0-3, but Davis has been unlucky to face teams who have combined to score 118 points against him, the highest in the league.

There are no premier league games for this upcoming week so everyone has the week off in terms of lineup moves, but this is a big week for FAAB.

For the first time this year, all players are available for FAAB. Submit your bids through the FAAB Report tab. Below are the players who have entered the EPL since our draft started. Along with the rest of the free agents on the player list, these players are now available for Auction Bidding. If any more enter before the Tuesday transfer window closes, I will send out notices. If you have any questions, feel free to ask or post a comment.

Good luck with your bidding and remember, if one person is added another must be dropped.

Goal Of The Day
Okay, this one is a miss but it is so bad it deserves the honor. Take it away Mr. Tevez:

Week 3 Scores

Week 3 scores are updated through Saturday's games. All team scores can be seen on the schedule page and each players score can be seen on the roster page and the player page. Lots of games on Sunday so these results are likely to change.

Goal of the Day:

Two up for debate today. Walcott for ripping the net on a low blast or Berbatov for actually scoring a good goal. I guess it's your preference:

Announcement: Position Changes

There are a few players who will be now eligible for a second position. Basically, the pre-draft list I used was from the official premier league website and for the scoring each week I am using ESPN. Of the 435 players eligible in this fantasy soccer game, there was only 18 players where the two sites differed on their positions.

So because of that, I am going to allow these 18 players to be played in either of their two positions. I will continue to monitor the player list throughout the year and make any changes if ESPN does.

If anyone has an issue with this, lets talk about it in the comments section. I don't think this will have much of an effect as just 7 of these 18 players are actually owned.

So here are the 18 players who are eligible for two positions:
